This is one of those songs I think we all have lived. It has to do with that perennial moment when a girlfriend (or boyfriend) looks into your eyes with that slightly sorrowful, almost pitying look, and says, "I really like you, you're a nice guy (or girl) but..." —and then proceeds to give you all the cheesy lines that they think they should in order to let you down easy, aka dump you! Lol!

My personal favourite line has always been, "it's not you, it's me." I've heard that one a few too many times! Oh yes, you aren't that far off if you think this song might be a bit autobiographical! Lol! But regardless, it is a rock n' roll song that is meant to make you smile and give you a good laugh while you tap your toes and sing along! I hope you like it!

I learned two things about breaking up that weekend

But I moved on, I grew up, I met Melissa
She came, she went, she said:

Now, a couple of weeks ago I met Shelley at the local meet market
She didn’t have much to sell, but I was a desperate buyer
Couple of weeks after meeting Shelley, I met Danielle
Shelley was nice, but Danielle was everything I’ve always wanted in a girl
Soft, sweet, pretty, with legs that could crush my head like a grape
Now, I didn’t know what to do with Shelley, me and her just wanted different things
She wanted me, I wanted Danielle
I didn’t want to hurt her, so I went with what works:
